Shamili Ajgaonkar is a Professor of Biology and Environmental Science and Co-Director of the Community Education Farm at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Environmental biology is her passion and it is the primary course she teaches at COD. Over the last 25 years, she has developed and taught this course in various formats from traditional classroom to in-the-field, to online, to self-paced, and as part of interdisciplinary seminars. She is deeply committed to advancing ecoliteracy by engaging students in experiential and service learning.
